The upscale downtown Hyatt Regency, has a perfect location—overlooking Lady Bird Lake and adjacent to the off leash trails.

Texas hospitality, city slicker ambiance and a breakfast menu that features scrambled tofu with grits–the hotel had us at the first howdy.  Your pooch will be pampered with selections from a tasty and nutritious pet menu, indoor and outdoor pet friendly eating areas, and even an obliging bell captain to escort a furry guest for an early morning potty break.

Phoebe Rose’s only concern: the glass elevators are a little disconcerting for canines with a fear of heights.

Pet friendly amenities include a pet welcome card, bed, gourmet treats, as well as food and water bowls.

Dining options include Southwest Bistro (pet friendly in lobby) and patio dining.  This may be Austin’s best-kept secret: an indoor bar that spills out onto a lake-view terrace with front-row seats to Austin’s most scenic icon, Lady Bird Lake and the Hike and Bike Trail.
